SNIK have made a triumphant return to Manchester's Northern Quarter, unveiling a new 20-meter mural that promises to become an iconic landmark in the city. The artists, who’s work last appeared in Manchester in 2018 with their celebrated piece Serenity, have once again captured the city’s imagination with their latest work, entitled Still Life.
Located at the Northern Quarter Carpark on the bustling corner of Tib Street, Still Life is the latest street art addition to the vibrant Northern Quarter, a neighbourhood famed for its independent shops, creative studios, and eclectic atmosphere. The mural invites passersby to pause, breathe, and take a moment to reflect amidst the hustle and bustle of city life.
The Northern Quarter, already a haven for creativity, is the perfect backdrop for this new piece. Still Life blends seamlessly into the area's artistic spirit, while also offering a gentle reminder to appreciate the beauty and tranquility that can be found in our surroundings.
"We’re thrilled to return to Manchester, a city that has always welcomed our work with open arms," said SNIK. "With Still Life, we wanted to create something that not only enhances the urban landscape but also encourages people to take a step back and appreciate the little things, the moments of calm that we often overlook."
The mural is produced in association with Spray Days Manchester and is a testament to Manchester’s enduring love for street art. SNIK hope that new work will become a cherished part of Manchester's artistic heritage, much like its predecessor Serenity, which remains a beloved fixture in the city.
